Stereopost

Ladies and gentlemen, you are currently witnessing a historical event. I am, right here and now, coining the word stereopost. Definition: Stereopost- when an identical message is posted on multiple blogs at the same time.

Call me Shakespeare.

A prospective critical retrospective review of the term "stereopost."

Many claim to have originated the term "stereopost," but what story does the evidence tell?
One blogger - we'll call him "Shakespeare" - claimed to coin the phrase "stereopost" at 10:08 am on November 28, 2007. Yet, after an exhaustive investigation googling the term, the I-team discovered evidence to the contrary. On March 1, 2001 "Ramon de Ramon y Ramon," or "R^3" as his friends know him, posted from Cologne, North Rhine-Westplalia, Germany the following message on a board devoted to the Ironworks Gaming Forum: "Btw, will Cb be able to stereopost 30plus posts a day on two boards?" Is "Shakespeare" BKA "Ramon de Ramon y Ramon" in certain gaming circles, and if so, why was he in Cologne in 2001 - what other terms might he have been coining between 2001 and 2007 - and, if they are the same, why did R^3 purport to be 35 years old 6 years ago? Perhaps the simple answer is, we'll never know.

Other's also raised questions with the purported meaning of "stereopost" - some seem to suggest that R^3 implicitly limited the term to the posting of identical messages on only two blogs at the same time. They cite the much derided Websters for support: "stereo: designating sound transmission from two sources through two channels." Can a post genuinely eminate from multiple sources in excess of two and still be deemed a stereopost? Or is there a new term out there... waiting to be coined?
